Ely’s Peak via Short Line Trail
Duluth, MN
Kim, Cash and I climbed to Ely’s Peak in Duluth, MN on November 28, 2023 by starting on the Short Line trail from Becks Road. The route we took to the peak was challenging but coming down was easy as we hopped on the Superior Hiking Trail on the backside (from the direction we came). After coming down we wandered down the DWP (Duluth, Winnipeg, Pacific) trail for a ways. A highlight of the DWP was the tunnel under Ely’s Peak. Beautiful views from the top.
